Updated CMM capability now supports measurement of larger parts with improved accuracy for critical-dimension reporting.
What Changed
Our coordinate measuring capability now covers larger parts with improved accuracy. That extends the size range over which we can issue measured critical-dimension and full dimensional reports, rather than falling back to hand instruments on long or large parts.
What It Enables
Longer plates and frames, shafts and housings with widely separated features, and parts where the relationship between two distant datums is what matters to assembly. Position, parallelism and distance between features across a large part are exactly where a CMM adds confidence that a height gauge cannot.
How It Fits the Inspection Process
The workflow does not change: drawing and revision review before quoting, incoming material verification against the mill certificate, first-piece inspection, in-process checks on critical features, final inspection at the agreed documentation level, then packaging and shipment photographs. The CMM is the instrument behind the first-article and final reports; the level of documentation is still agreed at quotation stage.
